AI & Future of Photography
AI is undoubtedly the topic of the time now. It's time when machines are trying to create (!!) Art. In recent times every art form has faced machine invasion in their creative process. Photography is no exception.AI is not entirely new thing though. We are experiencing AI assistance in Photography for quite sometime now. Be it focus assist in camera or post processing, AI has definitely helped us till now. The problem bubbled up when AI started generating art directly - for example writing poems, composing music and generating painting or photographs. Should we then consider it a serious threat to Art? Or as a pure artist, we should not bother at all? That's what we will discuss in this webinar. We will try to understand the language of Photography and it's probability to surrender or stand out in the coming age of AI. It's the necessity of time to understand how AI can impact the Art of Photography!
ফোটোগ্রাফি এবং এ.আই-এর সম্পর্ক বেশ কিছুবছর ধরেই ক্রমাগতঃ বাড়ছে। এখনো আমরা ফোকাস বা পোস্টপ্রসেস-এর মতো কাজে এ.আই ব্যবহার করছি এবং যথেষ্ট টেকনিক্যাল সহায়তা পাচ্ছি।সমস্যার শুরু যখন এ.আই নিজেই সম্পূর্ণ ফোটোগ্রাফ তৈরি করতে শুরু করলো। এমনকি কোন ক্যামেরা ছাড়াই কিছু টেক্সট প্রম্পট-এর সাহায্যে তৈরি করা ফেলা যাচ্ছে অবিকল ফোটোগ্রাফ। এ.আই মাধ্যমে তৈরি ছবি আর ক্যামেরায় তোলা ফোটোগ্রাফের মধ্যে যে আর তফাৎ করা যাচ্ছে না তার প্রকৃষ্ট প্রমাণ দেখা গেছে কিছুদিন আগেই - একটি জনপ্রিয় ফোটোগ্রাফি প্রতিযোগিতায় এ.আই দিয়ে তৈরি ফোটোগ্রাফ প্রথম হয়। পরে অবশ্য শিল্পী নিজেই সে কথা স্বীকার করে পুরষ্কার প্রত্যাখ্যান করেন। এমন সময়ে দাঁড়িয়ে প্রত্যেক সচেতন ফোটোগ্রাফারেরই ভাবা উচিৎ এ.আই কীভাবে এবং কতদূর প্রভাবিত করতে পারে আগামীদিনের ফোটোগ্রাফিকে!
উত্তর-আধুনিক সময়ের সমস্যা ঠিকমতো বোঝার জন্য এই সময়ের আর্থসামাজিক চরিত্র বোঝা জরুরী। সময়ের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে শিল্পের চরিত্র বদলায়। বোঝা জরুরী কীভাবে সামাজিক তথা রাষ্ট্রীয় পরিকাঠামো শিল্পের চরিত্র এবং শিল্পবোধের ওপর প্রভাব বিস্তার করে। ফোটোগ্রাফির পরিমণ্ডলে উত্তর-আধুনিকতার ধরণ বুঝতে পারলে এই সময়ের উপযুক্ত ফোটোগ্রাফিক ভাষা বোঝা সহজ হতে পারে।
মিশেল ফুকোর জৈব ক্ষমতার তত্ত্বে আলোচিত হয়েছে কীভাবে এই সময়ের সামাজিক ও রাষ্ট্রব্যবস্থায় মুনাফাসর্বস্ব জীবনবোধ তৈরি করা হয়। এই চিন্তা ফোটোগ্রাফি ও অন্যান্য শিল্পের ক্ষেত্রেও সত্যি। এক ধরণের কৃত্রিম নান্দনিকতার বোধ রাস্তা তৈরি করে কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তার রাজ্যবিস্তারে। কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তার গঠনগত চরিত্র বুঝে নেওয়া অন্যতম প্রয়োজনীয় বিষয়।
আন্তর্জাতিক ফোটোগ্রাফি প্রতিযোগিতা থেকে শুরু করে কর্মাশিয়াল ফুড বা প্রোডাক্ট ফোটোগ্রাফি - এ আই-এর আগ্রাসন চতুর্দিকেই। তৈরি হয়েছে এ আই নির্ভর লেন্সহীন ক্যামেরা (?) "প্যারাগ্রাফিকা"। অসংখ্য AI Image Generator ওয়েবসাইটের সাহায্যে পোস্টপ্রসেস থেকে শুরু করে একেবারে শূণ্য থেকে ছবি তৈরি করে ফেলা এখন আর কঠিন নয়।
কী হতে পারে আগামীদিনের ফোটগ্রাফির যথার্থ অর্থে বেঁচে থাকার ভাষা? এ আই মাধ্যমে তৈরি ছবি আর ফোটোগ্রাফির মধ্যে তফাৎ গড়ে দিতে পারে এমন কোন কোন বিষয়ে ফোটোগ্রাফারদের আরো বেশি করে নজর দেওয়া দরকার? আগামী দশক বা তার পরে কোন দিকে যেতে পারে ফোটোগ্রাফির ভাষা? ফোটোগ্রাফাররা আদৌ ভাবছেন তো?
